BronzePunk Heroes
Equipment
Armor is for battles, not normal wear. Enter a settlement (other than your own) armored, people will assume you intend mayhem. Anyone carrying a melee weapon other than a dagger or club is presenting as a warrior. Bowmen carry while hunting and traveling. Shields are not an innate threat, but do draw attention.
- This list should be comprehensive. Let me know if there is something you feel ought to be here.
- Gear and items are typically low quality and more difficult to obtain. Just like electricity and automatic firearms have no place in a medieval setting, there is much medieval technology that is inappropriate to this bronze age setting.
- No guns, crossbows, chainmail, or fine plate at all. Bronze weapons generally perform as their iron counterparts in RAW, but be sure to check their damage in the table below. "Bronze platemail" is custom and looks like the Dendra Panopoly. The weapon names are carry-overs from TFT and are mostly misnomers.
- Your starting gear is based on your talents: shield allows a shield; take up to 2 different weapons for which you have the talents. If you have thrown weapons talent, you can take extras of what weapons you plan to throw.
- Armor may only be obtained by roleplay.
- Shields are awkward to carry when not in battle. Expect to save against knocking things or people over, etc.
- Everyone can have a dagger in addition to everything else.
- Clubs are cheap, but shields and other weapons are considerable investments.
- Bronze plate and all 2d6 weapons are Top-Tier. You will need to roleplay to get access.
- I don't want to track encumberance, so don't carry anymore than is reasonable.
